LASU First Semester Academic Calendar 2025/2026
The Lagos State University (LASU) first semester is a bit longer for new students (24 weeks) compared to old students (21 weeks). Let’s say you just got admission, here’s how your schedule will look:
Monday, 15th September – Friday, 3rd October 2025 → Registration for fresh students (3 weeks).
Monday, 6th October – Friday, 19th December 2025 → Old students resume, start registration, and lectures begin for everyone (11 weeks).
Monday, 22nd December 2025 – Friday, 2nd January 2026 → End-of-year break (2 weeks).
Monday, 5th January – Friday, 9th January 2026 → Revision + late registration (you should avoid this because it attracts ₦5,000 penalty) (1 week).
Monday, 12th January – Friday, 6th February 2026 → First Semester Examinations (4 weeks).
Monday, 9th February – Friday, 20th February 2026 → Marking, grading, and uploading results (2 weeks).
Monday, 23rd February – Friday, 27th February 2026 → Departmental and faculty checks, ICT processing, and Senate approval of results (1 week).
LASU Second Semester Academic Calendar 2025/2026
Now, the second semester is a little shorter—it will run for 20 weeks. I have listed the breakdown below:
Monday, 2nd March – Friday, 22nd May 2026 → Resumption, registration, and lectures for all students (12 weeks).
Monday, 25th May – Friday, 5th June 2026 → Second Semester Examinations (4 weeks).
Monday, 8th June – Friday, 19th June 2026 → Grading and uploading results (2 weeks).
Monday, 22nd June – Friday, 26th June 2026 → Departmental and faculty consideration, ICT corrections (1 week).
Monday, 29th June – Friday, 3rd July 2026 → Collation of results and Senate approval (1 week).
Monday, 6th July 2026 → End-of-session break begins.
Note this: The break will last from 6th July – 2nd October 2026 (3 months). The next session, 2026/2027, kicks off on Monday, 6th October 2026.
Quick Notes for LASU Students
I want you to remember that freshers have 24 weeks in first semester, while returning students spend 21 weeks.
The second semester is 20 weeks, then you’ll enjoy a 3-month holiday before the next session.
