Achievers University Expels 15 Female Students Over Alleged Sex Videos: Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has expelled fifteen female students over their alleged involvement in the production of sex videos, an act the institution described as a serious violation of its rules and code of conduct. The action forms part of the university’s strict zero-tolerance policy on indiscipline, as school authorities continue to emphasize the importance of moral standards, academic integrity, and responsible behaviour among students.
The Pro-Chancellor of the university, Professor Bode Ayorinde, made this disclosure during the institution’s matriculation ceremony. He warned both students and parents that any conduct capable of damaging the image of the university or undermining academic values would attract severe sanctions, including expulsion. According to him, students must understand that admission into the university comes with responsibilities that must be taken seriously.
Professor Ayorinde further explained that the university does not condone any form of misconduct. He cited previous cases where students were expelled for offences such as threats of violence, involvement in hard drugs, fraudulent activities, fighting, and excessive alcohol consumption. He also criticized some parents and guardians for encouraging or overlooking the wrong actions of their children, urging them instead to guide their wards toward discipline and academic focus.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Amos Aremu, also addressed the new students, stating that Achievers University places strong emphasis on quality assurance, discipline, and academic integrity. He described university education as a journey that involves self-discovery, intellectual development, and preparation for meaningful contribution to society. He advised students to be ready for demanding lectures, intensive study periods, examination pressure, and the need to balance academics with personal growth.
Professor Aremu explained that these challenges are designed to strengthen character, build resilience, and improve critical thinking skills. He encouraged students to see discipline as a core value that would shape their future beyond the university environment.
The university management also warned that any staff member or student found guilty of sexual molestation or related offences would face appropriate disciplinary action. The expulsion of the fifteen female students, according to the authorities, serves as a clear warning to others to comply strictly with the institution’s rules and regulations.
