Exam Cancelled at University of Calabar After Student Says Holy Spirit Led Her to Confess Leaked Answers – An examination in the Department of Accounting at the University of Calabar was suddenly cancelled after an unusual incident occurred during the test. Reports from students revealed that an examiner mistakenly shared question papers that contained both the examination questions and the correct answers.
According to students who were present in the examination hall, the error happened immediately after the papers were distributed. Candidates discovered that the answers were printed together with the questions on the same sheet.
Examination Disrupted After Unexpected Confession
Although many students noticed the mistake early, nobody raised an alarm at the beginning of the examination. The candidates continued writing while the situation remained unnoticed by the invigilators.
However, events changed shortly before the examination ended. About five minutes to the closing time, a female student stood up and informed the invigilators about the error.
Witnesses explained that the student said she could not continue in silence because her conscience troubled her, adding that the Holy Spirit prompted her to speak up about what had happened.
Her confession immediately created tension inside the hall as invigilators checked the question papers and confirmed that the answers were truly included. The examiner was quickly informed, and the examination was cancelled without delay.
Department Announces Fresh Examination
Students were instructed to stop writing and submit their scripts immediately. Departmental authorities later announced that another date will be scheduled for a fresh examination.
The incident has generated serious discussions among students concerning academic honesty, personal responsibility, and integrity during examinations. Many students have shared different opinions about whether the entire class should bear the consequence of the mistake.
At the time of this report, the University management has not released an official statement regarding possible disciplinary action against the examiner or whether a full investigation will be carried out.
