How to Calculate UNN Post-UTME Screening for 2023/2024: Post-UTME Screening Calculation for 2023/2024: The aggregate score for last year was calculated using this formula:

Aggregate = 90% of JAMB score + 10% of Post-UTME score (PUTME)

Or:

(0.9 × JAMB Score) + (0.1 × PUTME Score)

To calculate your UNN Post-UTME score

Follow these steps:

O’Level Results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)

Grade to Points conversion:
  • A1 = 90
  • B2 = 80
  • B3 = 70
  • C4 = 60
  • C5 = 50
  • C6 = 40

For one sitting (using only one result), add 40 extra points.

Add your O-Level grades in your four JAMB subjects, and if you used one sitting, add 40 extra points.

For instance, if you have 4 A1s in a single sitting for your JAMB subjects, your total PUTME score would be 400.

Example:

A student has the following O-Level results:

  • English Language: B3 = 70
  • Biology: A1 = 90
  • Chemistry: B3 = 70
  • Physics: C5 = 50

(Single sitting) and scores 296 in JAMB. The calculation would be:

  • 70 (English Language) + 90 (Biology) + 70 (Chemistry) + 50 (Physics) = 280
  • Add 40 points for one sitting: 280 + 40 = 320/400
  • PUTME Score = 320
  • JAMB Score = 296

Determine the UNN Final Aggregate Score

Now, calculate the aggregate:

Aggregate = (90% of 296) + (10% of 320)

= (0.9 × 296) + (0.1 × 320)

= 266.4 + 32

= 298.4

How to Calculate UNN Post-UTME Screening for Double Sitting

For double sitting, no extra points are added (0 points). The aggregate score is still calculated using the same formula:

Aggregate = 90% of JAMB score + 10% of Post-UTME score (PUTME)

Or:

(0.9 × JAMB Score) + (0.1 × PUTME Score)

To calculate your PUTME score

Follow these steps:

O-Level Results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)

Grade to Points conversion:

  • A1 = 90
  • B2 = 80
  • B3 = 70
  • C4 = 60
  • C5 = 50
  • C6 = 40

For double sitting (using two results), no extra points are added.

Add your O-Level grades in your four JAMB subjects, without any extra points for double sitting.

Example:

A student has the following O-Level results:

  • English Language: B3 = 70
  • Biology: A1 = 90
  • Chemistry: B3 = 70
  • Physics: C5 = 50

  • PUTME Score = 280

Now, calculate the aggregate:

Aggregate = (90% of 296) + (10% of 280)

= (0.9 × 296) + (0.1 × 280)

= 266.4 + 28

= 294.4

    For the accomplishment of admission, is it the departmental cutoff mark is in usage or the calculated aggregate scores of Post Utme and JAMB?
