The University of Nigeria Alumni Association, United Kingdom (UNAA-UK) Foundation has officially announced the opening of applications for its 2026 Scholarship and Grant Scheme.
The programme is designed to provide financial support to outstanding students of the University of Nigeria who demonstrate strong academic performance but are facing financial challenges. The foundation also places special focus on inclusivity by supporting students living with disabilities who need assistance to continue their education.
This funding is a one-time scholarship award aimed at encouraging academic excellence and helping deserving students complete their studies successfully.

Value per award: ₦400,000
Inclusivity policy: Awards will be shared equally between students with disabilities and non-disabled students (12 recipients each).

Eligibility Requirements for the UNAA-UK Foundation Scholarship and Grant Scheme
Applicants who want to be considered for the scholarship must meet the following conditions:
- Must be a currently registered student of the University of Nigeria with a valid matriculation number.
- Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 for non-disabled students or 3.0 CGPA for students with disabilities.
- Must not be in the first year or final year as of 1 October 2025.
- Must possess an active University of Nigeria student email address.
- Must not currently hold a UNAA-UK scholarship or have received similar financial assistance from any University of Nigeria alumni body.
How to Apply
Follow these steps carefully to complete your application:
- Visit the UNAA-UK Foundation portal at www.unaaukfoundation.org.
- Open the Scholarships & Grants section and select Apply Now.
- Verify your University of Nigeria email address. Only official UNN student email addresses will be accepted.
- After verification, a link will be sent to your email inbox. Use the link to access and complete the application form.
Once you submit the form, it will automatically be forwarded to your Head of Department (HOD) and or Exam Officer for confirmation of your studentship and academic details.
After verification, your application will be sent to the scholarship committee for review and processing.
All applicants will receive updates regarding the outcome of their applications.
Successful candidates will be required to sign an acceptance form and a consent form allowing the UNAA-UK Foundation to use their information, photographs, or videos for promotional purposes and annual reporting to the UK HMRC.
