UNN Extends Post UTME Registration to September 7th, 2025 (2025/2026 Admission)

UNN Extends Post UTME Screening Registration to September 7th, 2025 (2025/2026 Admission): The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially announced an extension of the Post-UTME and Direct Entry registration deadline for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Originally scheduled to close on Friday, August 15, 2025, the deadline has now been extended to midnight of Sunday, September 7, 2025. This update was confirmed in a memorandum released by the Office of the Registrar.

What This UNN post-UTME screening Extension Means for Candidates

This extension gives UNN candidates an extra three weeks to complete their registration. It is a big relief for those who:

  • Chose UNN as their first-choice institution and scored 160 and above in the 2025 UTME.
  • Changed their institution to UNN recently and were unable to register before the initial deadline.
  • Already registered but need to update their O’Level results before the new closing date.

The Registrar emphasized that all candidates must strictly follow the instructions earlier issued for the 2025/2026 screening exercise.

UNN Post-UTME Screening & Direct Entry Registration Guidelines 2025/2026

If you have not yet registered, here’s a simple guide to help you complete the process before the new deadline:

1. Login to the UNN Portal at www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng.

2. Scroll down and click on “Undergraduate”.

3. Select “Generate Invoice” and input your JAMB Registration Number, Email, and Phone Number.

4. Pay the ₦2,000.00 screening fee online via Remita or at any commercial bank.

5. Return to the UNN portal and click on “Application Form” to fill in your personal details.

6. Upload your recent passport photograph and O’Level results.

7. Carefully review your entries before final submission.

Requirements for the UNN Post-UTME screening Registration

Candidates are expected to have the following details ready before starting the registration:

  • JAMB registration number
  • Valid email address
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth
  • State and LGA of origin
  • Residential address
  • Guardian’s full name, phone number, and address
  • Relationship with guardian (father, mother, etc.)
  • O’Level results and scratch card
  • Passport photograph

Why You Shouldn’t Wait Until the Last Minute

With the deadline now shifted to September 7th, 2025, candidates have ample time. However, it is strongly advised not to delay. The UNN portal usually experiences heavy traffic as the deadline approaches, which can lead to failed payments or incomplete submissions.

To avoid unnecessary stress, complete your registration or update your details as soon as possible.
