Actual Meaning of UNN Cut-Off Mark for Law

What does the UNN cut-off mark for Law mean? It refers to the departmental cut-off mark set by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) for admission into the Law program. This mark is determined by calculating the average of a candidate’s JAMB score and Post-UTME score – if UNN adopts the Post-UTME examination method for that particular admission year.

The formula is simple: (JAMB Score + Post-UTME Score) ÷ 2. The result is known as the UNN Aggregate or Average Score.

This is why the cut-off mark for Law is usually released after the Post-UTME—since the Post-UTME score plays a crucial role in determining a candidate’s eligibility for admission into the course..
