What to Do After Seeing Your Name in the UNN Supplementary Admission List 2 (2025/2026): Good day everyone. Are you an aspirant or a prospective student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN)? If yes, and you did not see your name in the primary admission list or in the first supplementary list, I wish you good luck in the upcoming supplementary list two that will soon be released.
For those who will see their name in the next list, please take this information very seriously. It will guide you on what to do immediately so that you will not lose your admission or be left behind. There is no much time to waste once the list comes out.
Step 1: Check Your Admission on the JAMB Portal
The first thing you must do once UNN supplementary list two is out is to go to your JAMB portal and confirm your admission status.
If you have been offered admission, accept it immediately using the new JAMB SMS method. To do that, send your JAMB registration number, give a space, and type ACCEPT in capital letters, then send it to 55019.
Example: 202512345678YZ ACCEPT
👉TO 55019
Make sure you use the same phone number you used to register for JAMB. But if you do not have access to that number again, visit a JAMB-accredited CBT or safety center and ask them to help you accept your admission.
Step 2: Create Your UNN Student Profile
After confirming and accepting your admission, the next step is to create your UNN student profile. You can do this on the official UNN portal using your JAMB registration number and your UNN Screening Registration Remita number.
The UNN official website for the student profile is: https://unnportal.unn.edu.ng/
Once you log in, create your profile carefully. From that profile, you can access your student information, pay your acceptance fee, and check updates about school fees or other payments.
Step 3: Pay Your Acceptance Fee
The payment of the acceptance fee is done through your student profile. Generate your acceptance invoice, pay it through the bank or online, and then confirm the payment on your profile, or you can visit a cyber cafe which might incure charges.
After payment, print out your acceptance receipt and keep it safe. You will need it during your departmental or faculty clearance when you resume school.
Step 4: Check if the School Fees Portal is Updated
After paying your acceptance fee, the next thing is to check if the school fees portal has been updated. UNN usually opens the portal after releasing all the admission lists.
If it has been opened, generate your invoice, make the payment, and print out your school fees receipt. Paying early helps you avoid late registration issues when the session begins.
Step 5: Wait for UNN Resumption Date
After completing all necessary payments, wait for UNN to release the official resumption date. It will be announced in the 2025/2026 UNN academic calendar or through the school website.
Once the date is announced, start preparing to come to campus. When you arrive, your department or faculty officer will guide you through other steps like clearance, medicals, and course registration.
Step 6: If You Were Offered a Different Course
Sometimes UNN may give you a different course from the one you originally applied for. If this happens, do not panic. You just need to perform a change of course on JAMB CAPS.
For instance, if you applied for Pharmacy but were offered Biochemistry, and you wish to study Biochemistry, visit a JAMB CAPS center and apply for a change of course.
This step is very important because if you do not do the change, your admission might not reflect properly on the JAMB portal, which can cause problems during clearance.
Step 7: Follow UNN and JAMB Official Instructions
Always follow every information that is released on the official UNN website and ensure your admission is showing on JAMB CAPS.
According to JAMB, only admissions that are processed and accepted through JAMB CAPS are valid and legal. So make sure your JAMB CAPS changes to “Congratulations, you have been given admission”.
After confirming that, print your JAMB admission letter and take it along with you to school.
Documents You Will Need for UNN Clearance
When you are coming to school for clearance, make sure you carry the following documents with you:
1. Your JAMB admission letter
2. Your JAMB original result
3. Your SSCE result (WAEC, NECO, or GCE)
4. Your birth certificate
5. Your local government identification letter or certificate
6. Your SSCE scratch card (for verification)
All these documents are very important, and you must make sure that your name matches correctly across all of them. If there is any difference in your name spelling or arrangement, it might cause a problem during clearance, so check it now before coming to school.
You may also need other documents like passport photographs and other clearance materials that your department might request when you resume. But these six listed above are the most important ones you must not forget. It is better to come prepared than to start traveling back home to bring what you forgot.
