The 2024/2025 Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (JAMB) registration is now open. Here’s a step-by-step process to register for the Direct Entry (DE) exam:

1. Announcement and Registration Start:

JAMB has initiated the registration process for interested candidates nationwide.

– The registration process follows the announcement made by JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, ensuring a smooth experience for all candidates.

 

2. Registration Schedule:

– UTME candidates are to register first, followed by Direct Entry candidates.

The sale of DE application documents and E-PIN vending starts on February 28 and closes on March 28, 2024, exclusively at JAMB Offices.

 

3. Important Information:

– The JAMB DE form is distinct from the UTME form, meant for admission into the first year of university programs.

– Registration is only possible at JAMB offices.

– You cannot apply for both JAMB DE and UTME in the same year.

– The DE form is an online application filled out and submitted on the JAMB portal.

– Twelve qualifications/certificates are recognized by JAMB.

– Statement of result is accepted for registration within three years of the date of award.

– Upgrade from UTME to DE is available under specific conditions.

 

4. Registration Fees:

– The DE fee for the 2024/2025 session is N3,500, with additional charges for CBT Centre registration service, mock/UTME, and bank charges/commission.

– Total fees amount to N6,200 for non-MOCK candidates and N7,700 for those taking the MOCK examination.

 

5. National Identification Number (NIN):

– A National Identification Number is mandatory for registration.

 

6. Payment Methods:

– Candidates can pay via bank payment using the e-PIN, online payment with ATM card or USSD code on the JAMB portal, and POS payment at accredited CBT or JAMB offices.

 

7. Registration Process:

– Create your JAMB profile by sending your NIN to 55019 or 66019 via text message.

– Receive a confirmation code and log into the JAMB portal with the code.

– Obtain the JAMB e-PIN by visiting accredited banks, CBT centres, or embassies (for foreign candidates) with your confirmation code.

– Send a message to 55019 or 66019 to receive a 10-digit profile code, registered name with NIMC, and total cost for UTME with or without MOCK.

 

8. Lost Profile Code Retrieval:

– Send [RESEND] to 55019 or 66019 from the registered cell phone number.

– The Profile Code will be retrieved and delivered to your registered cell phone number.

9. Lost e-PIN Retrieval:

– Send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 or 66019 for UTME or DE respectively from the registered cell phone number.

– The e-PIN will be retrieved and delivered to the candidate’s registered cell phone number.
