How to do your UNN Student ID Card Self-Capture yourself: This is to let all students at the University of Nigeria (UNN) know that the school is now accepting registration for student ID cards.

We urge you all to register before the deadline because it’s mandatory for all students to have their ID cards. The good news is that you can do it yourself using your smartphone.

Process to do your UNN Student ID Card Self-Capture

Follow these steps to capture your UNN student ID card:

FIRST STEP:

• Click on this link: https://bit.ly/IDQR-UNN
• Choose the role that fits you best from the drop-down menu.
• Select “undergraduate,” then click “proceed.”

SECOND STEP

• Identification: There are two boxes, one for your Matric Number and one for your Date of Birth.
• Enter your Matric Number and Date of Birth in the boxes.
• Click “verify details.”
• Note: The Date of Birth you enter must match what you gave to the university.

THIRD STEP

• Verify your details: The system will pull up your details from the school portal.
• Click “PREVIEW AND CONTINUE.”

FOURTH STEP

• Image Capturing: Take a picture of yourself and click “continue.”
• Note: Make sure your ID photo has a plain background and good lighting.
• Don’t try to represent someone else, for Impersonation is strictly prohibited.
• You can retake or snap another of your picture if the first one is not clear by clicking the “Retake” button at the top right corner of your screen. If you want to go back, click the “Back” button at the top left corner of your screen.

FIFTH STEP:

• NIN Validation Process: Enter your NIN and proceed.
• If successfully validated, a congratulations message will appear, and you will be notified when your card is ready for collection.

NOTE: The system will compare your selfie with the image on your NIN. If the image or date of birth does not match, your ID card may not be issued.
