The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) releases 2024/2025 UTME Supplementary Results of candidates who took the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on June 21 and 22, 2024.
The board’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, announced this in a statement in Abuja on Friday.
Reasons for the JAMB Supplementary Exam
According to JAMB, 28,835 applicants who couldn’t complete biometric verification during the main 2024 UTME took the supplementary exam.
Additionally, the board mentioned that students given a second chance to take the exam due to suspected misconduct during the main UTME were included in the other category of candidates.
The exercise was a success nationwide, with increased security measures to prevent exam malpractice and violations.
Some individuals who attempted to impersonate candidates were caught and handed over to law enforcement for further investigation and prosecution,” the board noted.
It stated that JAMB will continue to use advanced technology before, during, and after exams to ensure no candidate benefits from any malpractices.
JAMB urged candidates to avoid any form of irregularity during their exams.
The board also prohibited applicants from seeking score upgrades from fraudsters or altering their result sheets to create fake higher scores.
How to Check your Jamb result
Candidates can check their supplementary UTME JAMB results by texting UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they used to obtain their profile codes at the start of registration.
Service Charges for Checking Your UTME JAMB Supplementary Exam Result
50 Naira Service Charge will be deducted from your mobile SIM airtime.
So it’s important to make sure your SIM card has at least 50 to 100 Naira before trying to send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019.
A common error that might occur while checking your UTME JAMB RESULT
Insufficient Balance Error:
This happens when the candidates don’t have enough Airtel on the JAMB-registered SIM card.
Solution: It’s important to buy and load a recharge card into the SIM card you used for JAMB exam registration because that’s the SIM card JAMB will only recognize.
I can’t access or see my result after I was deducted from the SMS
This happens when candidates get no response but still get charged for checking their results via SMS.
Solution: Candidates must use their JAMB-registered phone number to check their results through SMS. If they use a different number, they may not get a response.
If you are sure that the phone number is the registered phone number, I will advise you to try again at midnight when there is little network traffic.
How do I check my UTME JAMB Result if I have lost my Registered SIM card?
According to JAMB, the main thing to do is to go and retrieve your UTME JAMB registered SIM card because you will still need it in your undergraduate period.
The examination board stated that candidates’ phone numbers are unique identifiers needed throughout their undergraduate programs. JAMB advised candidates to keep their phone numbers active, as these numbers will continue to identify them.
