What is the LASU Cut-Off Mark?

The LASU cut-off mark is the minimum score students need in JAMB and other relevant exams (O’levels and WAEC/NECO) to be eligible for admission.

Know how to Calculate LASU Aggregate Score 2024/2025

Unlike other universities, LASU does not conduct additional verification exams for applicants. Instead, they use a simple grading system to determine the final cut-off score. Your admission chances depend on your JAMB score and O’level performance.

The aggregate score is calculated as follows:

  • JAMB score contributes 50%
  • O’ level results contribute the remaining 50%
  • To be in good standing, you should have at least 180 in JAMB.

Here’s the breakdown for O’ level results:

  • A1 = 10 marks
  • B2 = 9 marks
  • B3 = 8 marks
  • C4 = 7 marks
  • C5 = 6 marks
  • C6 = 5 marks

To calculate your aggregate score:

1. Divide your JAMB score by 8.

2. Add the points from your five compulsory O’level results.

Sum both scores to get your final cut-off.

Example:

  • Michael scored 250 in JAMB and has 3 A’s and 2 B’s in O’ levels.
  • JAMB score: 250 / 8 = 31.25
  • O’ level results: (3 x 10) + (2 x 9) = 30 + 18 = 48
  • Final cut-off: 31.25 + 48 = 79.25
  • Michael’s final cut-off score is 79.25.
