A Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Marketing at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) takes four (4) years for UTME candidates and three (3) years for Direct Entry students.

The University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has to major Campus one at Enugu (UNEC) with an extension at UNTH Ituku Ozalla and one at Nsukka, the Major Campus. Those that gained admission into UNN to study Marketing will start their academic journey at UNEC Enugu campus and end it at UNEC Enugu campus. They won’t be any transfer to any other campus, also note that if you gain admission to study Marketing at UNN, you are going to do your clearance at Enugu Campus, not Nsukka Campus.

Direct Entry Requirements for Marketing at UNN

Candidates seeking admission through Direct Entry must meet one of the following requirements:

1. General Certificate of Education (GCE)

  • Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, with at least two at the Advanced level or three Advanced level passes.
  • Subjects must not be duplicated at both levels.
  • Must include English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.

2. Ordinary National Diploma (OND)

Must possess an OND in a relevant discipline with a minimum of Upper Credit.

Five credit passes as specified in the GCE requirements.

3. Higher National Diploma (HND)

  •  Must possess an HND in a relevant field with at least a Lower Credit.
  • Five credit passes as specified in the GCE requirements.

4. National Certificate in Education (NCE) 

  • Must possess an NCE in a relevant discipline with a merit-level pass.
  • Five credit passes as specified in the GCE requirements.

5. Professional Certification

  • Must have the final certificate of a recognized professional body in Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Five credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.

6. Transfer Students from Other Universities

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale in relevant courses.
  • Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are mandatory.

Transfer Students within UNN

  • Must have completed at least one academic session in another course at UNN and have an average grade of C in their previous courses.
  • Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are required.
