The University of Nigeria, Nsukka has two major campuses  one is at Enugu (UNEC) while the other is at Nsukka (UNN). This means that if you gain admission to study Pharmacy in UNN, you will start from 100 level at Nsukka Campus and finish your 600 level at Nsukka Campus. Below is the UNN Department of Pharmacy Requirements to study a six-year program to gain a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy) for UTME candidates

Candidates applying for the Six-year standard program through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) must have credits in these subject combinations:

• English Language
• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Biology in their Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent qualification. They must also meet the minimum university entry requirements.
• The general Cut-off mark for you to apply for Pharmacy or other Courses is 160 in UNN, you might be admitted when you apply with a score from 160 and above but I (Campus Informant) will advise you score above 270 and above in the UTME-JAMB exam to have a better chance of gaining admission into the 6year’s Department of Doctor of Pharmacy at UNN.

Requirements to study Pharmacy with the Five-Year Direct Entry Program

Students applying for the five-year program through Direct Entry must have passes in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology (or Botany or Zoology) at the Higher School Certificate (Principal Level) and credits in English and Mathematics in their Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent qualification. These Advanced Level passes should be obtained in no more than two sittings. Additionally, holders of a first degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in medical sciences, veterinary medicine, or biological sciences may be admitted through direct entry.

Other important requirements for pharmacy direct entry candidates at UNN

• O’Level Results (SSCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) – Must have at least 5 credit passes including English and Maths.
• JAMB Direct Entry (DE) Registration – Your Must buy the Direct entry (DE) JAMB form from accredited JAMB office.
• Post-UTME / Screening Exercise – Try to participate in any screening exercises (Register the UNN Direct entry screening registration, upload your O’level result and the necessary details required.
• You must be 16 years and above for you to apply for the UNN Direct entry.
• ND, HND, or A-Level Results – Previous qualifications are checked; usually a minimum of Lower Credit for ND/HND.
