What is UNN Course registration?

UNN course registration is the ability of UNN students (Freshers & Old students) to register for their Courses which is outlined by the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) management of that academic session. Is UNN course registration compulsory?

Yes, every student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) must register his or her courses for him or her to be able to partake in the examination, this means that without you registering your courses in the UNN portal, you will not be able to take the online CBT examination because your name will not reflect in the list of students that are offering the courses.

How much is the UNN Course registration?

You are not going to pay UNN when you want to register your courses online, it is free. The only payment is when you go to a cyber cafe to print out the online course registration slip (it’s important to always print and keep a copy for yourself after registration)

Can I register my UNN Courses online without paying my school fees?

No, you must have paid your school fees before you can register your courses online.

For Freshers, you must have paid your school fees and acceptance fees and complete your faculty clearance before you can be able to register your courses in the UNN course registration portal. Make sure you know the correct courses you are offering for each semester before you register your courses online, this will hinder you from making mistakes and the stress of correcting them.

Can I pay instalment and still register my courses?

Yes, but this is applicable to only students in second year to final year, you can pay instalment (Half payment for a semester) and register your courses for that semester.

E.g you can pay for First Semester instalment then register your courses write your exams for that semester, then second semester you can still pay for second semester instalment then register your courses and write your exam. Remember to merge your first and second semester school instalment receipt.

Can I correct a mistake after course registration?

Yes, if you mistakenly registered for a course that you were supposed not to offer, just take your UNN registration number to UNN ICT Zenith the officials in the UNN ICT will help you to remove the course(s) or add the course(s) base on your wish, through the ADD & DROP Method.

But this must be done before exam will start for that particular course.

Steps to Register your Courses in the UNN course registration Portal

Follow these steps to register for your courses online on the UNN Portal:

1. Go to the UNN portal at unnportal.unn.edu.ng.

2. Enter your Matric number as both the username and password.

3. On the left-hand menu, click on “Course Registration.”

4. Click on “Register Course.”

5. Choose the current session and semester.

6. Select your courses, ensuring they are correct before submitting.

7. Print the course form and submit it to the designated person.

Make sure when you log in to your portal that you are not distracted by anything, you need to be focused so you don’t make mistakes and click on courses you are not Writing or offering.

How to Borrow/Add Courses in your UNN Course Registration Portal

For Old students, after Selecting the normal courses you are offering in the appropriate semester, click at the top to select Add/Borrow course, click on the Department and select, select the Level and Semester then click on “Submit” on the next page you will see all the courses available for that level and semester then click on the course(s) that you want to add after that click on “Submit” make sure you Click On “Register Course” after choosing your full courses for registration.

How many Units Loads you can register Per-Semester?

For many departments and faculty, you can only register 24 Units per semester.

When will my UNN Courses be approved after I have registered them in the UNN course registration portal?

It takes 4 to 7 days for your courses to be approved, so don’t panic.

Can an external student register his or her courses in the UNN course registration portal?

Yes, as an external student, you can register your courses if you want, but you have to pay the sum of 500 naira, for you to be able to register your courses, so visit the school ICT for more clarification and registration on External UNN student course registration.
